Adventures Without Limits (AWL) is a non-profit outdoor program located in Forest Grove Oregon. Since 1995, AWL has offered adventure-based activities including sea kayaking, cross-country skiing, rafting, inflatable kayaking snowshoeing, canoeing, caving, backpacking, teambuilding, and indoor and outdoor rock-climbing. AWL consists of an open enrollment and contract trip program. Our open enrollment program consists of a seasonal schedule where kids, adults, and families can sign up for a number of outdoor activities. Our contract trip program consists of our organization meeting with other programs, organizations, and schools with the purpose of designing a specialized trip for that group.
The mission of the program is to empower people of all abilities through inclusive recreational and educational experiences. We serve ages nine and up and provide trips for a wide variety of populations including those with disabilities, at-risk and homeless youth, specialized programs, adults, and families. We provide participants an opportunity to get outdoors and participate in activities that will allow them to gain new skills, increase their self-confidence and achieve self-actualization.
Adventures Without Limits is one of the few recreation-based programs in the country with a philosophy of full inclusion. Each year Adventures Without Limits serves around 1,400 people through our outdoor adventure programs.
